How corrections are handled.
A correction should make the record clearer without erasing how it changed. MortgagesVine verifies the source, rebuilds the affected material, and publishes a new versioned release.
Current status
There are no published correction notices. A public submission channel is not yet enabled; do not send personal borrower, application, credit, or property records.
01 · Commitments
Corrections remain auditable
- No silent replacement of reviewed history.
- Every correction retains source identity, activity year, and release kind.
- Objects that fail schema, identity, size, or hash checks are never trusted.
- Unrelated records are not changed to make a total reconcile.
- Personal borrower or application records are not accepted or published.
- Explanations distinguish a data correction from a newly released source vintage.
02 · Process
Five gates from discovery to release
The public site reads indexed data only after its identity, activity year, schema, byte size, and SHA-256 hash agree with the release record. A failed read falls back to the reviewed build cache rather than serving an unverified object.
03 · Public record
Correction notices
Future material corrections will be listed here with the affected page or artifact, activity year, source, correction date, and a plain-English description of what changed.
04 · Issue reports
No public intake channel yet
MortgagesVine does not currently operate a public correction form or inbox. When one is enabled, the requested evidence will be limited to the page URL, activity year, metric or passage, and the official source that appears to disagree.
Never submit names, addresses, application numbers, credit information, or other personal borrower records. The site publishes aggregate public evidence and cannot correct an individual lender file or credit record.
05 · Verification base
